Our Story

Founded in 2005 in the historic port of Dover, Sailfarer’s was inspired by the resilience of British seafarers. Our founder, Sir Edward Morrow (1939–2015), was a seasoned sailor who saw the shortcomings of traditional maritime clothing.

Born into a family of tailors, he combined his craftsmanship heritage with his experience in the Royal Marines, where standard-issue uniforms often failed against the harsh sea. His vision was clear: to create durable, comfortable, and well-fitted garments that honor Britain’s maritime legacy.
